Automatization is possible for all online shops

Vierailija Written by Vierailija - Apr 8, 2014

Typically, order information from an online store is sent to the merchant's e-mail or e-commerce system. Then the merchant must confirm the availability of the product(s) using a separate either financial or warehouse management systems. Finally, the merchant must manually transfer the information to their financial administration system.

But wait, the merchant isn’t finished yet… the merchant still needs to get the package shipped to their customer, which requires using yet another system, such as the Finnish Posti or Matkahuolto, to create parcel codes and tracking numbers. The order handling process described above is extremely ineffective - especially when there are dozens of orders per day.

How much manual work does your online store require?

Ideally, all order information from an online store flows seamlessly between different systems without a human’s touch. The time saved can be used for marketing and developing the visitor-to-customer conversion of the online store, which of course results in more revenue.

Automatization of a B2C online shop means:

  • Product information for the online store is updated daily, either from the warehouse management system or directly by the suppliers.
  • Orders are updated directly into the warehouse management system, or transferred directly to the suppliers for direct delivery.
  • Order information is automatically transferred to the company's accounting system.

Automatization of an efficient B2B online shop means:

  • Customer-specific price information is automatically imported into the online store.
  • Product information in the online store is updated either from the company's warehouse management system or directly by the suppliers.
  • Inventory information is automatically transferred into the online store.
  • Order information is transferred directly to billing.
  • Paid orders in the online store are automatically transferred to the company’s accounting system.

Automatization is possible for all online shops.

The automatization of an online store has previously been a complex and expensive integration project for the merchant, and the payback time has been quite long. Flashnode’s affordable service makes the transfer of information between systems accessible to every online store!
